Few Miles South is a female fronted, national touring country and roots group created by south GA raised, Blake English, and Los Angeles native, Tori Lund. Dubbed “the country Pretenders” (WSM), Tori’s ethereal vocals are the yin to Blake’s chicken pickin’ yang. Thoughtful songs set to nostalgic twang and knee slappin’ grooves attract listeners across generations. Their first single “On Down the Road” was awarded HOTDISC Country’s Best International Music Video in 2017 and their 2022 single, “Doggone”, reached #2 on the UK charts. FMS’ music has been featured on PBS, Fox Sports, Ditty TV and they’ve opened for acts like Shenandoah, Reckless Kelly, Junior Brown, The Kentucky Headhunters, Daniel Donato, Eddie9V and John R Miller. They have 3 studio releases including a recent 2020 Country/Bluegrass EP, Wiregrass, featuring collaboration with 2020 Grammy winning fiddler Michael Cleveland. FMS does all their producing and recording from English’s own Southern Fried Studio, deep in the Georgia pines. Few Miles South has collaborated, shared the stage with, or opened for: Shenandoah, Reckless Kelly, Junior Brown, The Kentucky Headhunters, Nikki Lane, Daniel Donato, Eddie9V, John R Miller Bob “Boo” Bernstein, Michael Cleveland, Jefferson Starship, Red Clay Strays, Jimmie Allen, Melody Trucks Band, Raelyn Nelson Band, Charles Kelley, Lee Brice, Maggie Rose, Marty Raybon, Cary Morin, Brent Cobb, Bruce Burch, Tim Easton and more…
